oh precious drive space

Commander 598 and I had similar problems. After dealing with a corupted installer, I re-downloaded Bc3k v2.09FREE with GetRight. No more coruption.

Now my problem, drive space. I have 1.06Gb on my hard drive, what most would think is more than enough room to install Bc3k v2.09FREE. So, I start up the installer. It prepares the WindowsInstallation Wizard with ease but, when it starts to run the installation, I receive an alert window that says, "Not enough drive space." Meanwhile, I sit bewildered in my chair. Not enough drive space? How on earth could an application program need more than 1.06Gbs in order to work right?!

I'm not asking for help, althought suggestions would be nice. I just thought this would make an interesting topic....Yes, I do have a rather old computer, and that very well is my own fault for this whole mess.

Seems like it would work but you may not have enough swap space to install. Try clearing caches, the recycle bin, defragmenting, restarting, then try again.

If getright had to resume several times you may still have a corrupt download.

Thanks for the tips. One question remains. How do you clear caches?

If you're running in win98 or up try:

Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System tools -> and run Disk cleaning (I'm not sure if it's that in english, but something like that anyway). It gives you options to clear your internet cache, delete temp files and so on.
