cschoch Posted October 5, 2001 Report Posted October 5, 2001 How come when I try to land at a starstation (On the surface...) I cant seem to target the station. I know where they are...They're the buildings with the 5000 armor. They are pretty distinct looking too). I know how to find them on the surface...The blinking boxes, but I can't seem to dock with them, no matter what I do, I can't seem to target them...Any suggestions? I'm sorry about all the dumb questions, it's just that I really love this game and I want to get everything I can out of it. Thanks alot everyone for your patience. me Posted October 5, 2001 Report Posted October 5, 2001 I believe you can only dock with the Starbases using a Shuttle or fighter, not with your BC. Try it in one of those.
cschoch Posted October 5, 2001 Author Report Posted October 5, 2001 Ok, I figured it out...For some reason, as long as the radar is NOT in Tacscan mode (ground mode or otherwise) I CAN target it (the ground starbase) with the / key. I dont know why, but as long as I had my ground radar(Tacscan)active, I couldn't seem to target the starbase. But when I displayed the topography map in the NID I had no problem locating it...Hey, whatever works! I'm lovin' this game and I cant wait for BCM! Well...Cheers all! Supreme Cmdr Posted October 5, 2001 Report Posted October 5, 2001 Thats because buildings are handled directly by the NID not the TACSCAN. Its in the manual.
