yoda1952 Posted December 23, 2001 Report Posted December 23, 2001 How does the reactor get charged on Fighters? I currently have 1 fighter that is ready to go except the reactor charge is 0%. All other systems are at 100%. All other fighters are fine. I'm obviously missing something here but I can't find it. Will someone please give me an e-slap upside my head and point me in the right direction. Thanks.
Guest Posted December 23, 2001 Report Posted December 23, 2001 Fighters carry a reactor powered by plasma batteries stored on the FC. FCs are recharged by being docked. If your FC has been docked for some time but has not recharged, then you need to examine your power settings.1) Check the power management in logistics. Are launch control, etc., switched on? I'm not sure if there is an option for recharging craft, but if there is, switch it on.2) Check your craft for damage. Are the fighter rechargers fully functional? Are the fighter bays intact? If for some reason the charger has been damaged or the fighter can't dock in it's usual bay, it might not be recharging normally.Hope this sets you on the right direction.-GD
Charles Lindsey Posted December 23, 2001 Report Posted December 23, 2001 Make sure flight engineers are assigned to "prep" the craft as well.
yoda1952 Posted December 24, 2001 Author Report Posted December 24, 2001 It appears that I had to assign flight engineers to prep the ship from tactical->launch instead of tactical->crew->flight engineers???? Does that sound right? When I did that, it showed about 15 minutes before the FC would be ready. Sure enough, 15 minutes later it was ready. Now back to making the universe safe for humans. I'm heading back to earth to fly CAP for Santa. Thanks.
