jsite Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Woohoo! I got my registration approval! I've been wanting to ask this cuz I'm a lost newb. 1. How do you transfer cargo from your shuttle to your ship? I've managed to mine quite a bit of stuff which I then sell with my shuttle but some I want to keep (like fuel) for my main ship. I try to use the cargo screens on the ship but I must be missing something obvious. 2. Why did I lose exp when I tractored a (red blip, I assume this is enemy,) carrier to a base? It was zooming by me and I nabbed it, went and turned it it and poof I got negative exp. What did I do wrong? I had zero violations before and after I turned it it. Thanks for any help you can provide.

About #2, i don't know. You might have found an odd bug.
Soback Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 For #2. Maybe while you were tractoring that enemy ship to base some other enemy ship destroyed a friendly or a neutral NPC ship in the sector you were in. Remember, exp. points will be subtracted if you fail to protect your races assets or neutral ships from hostiles.
Epsilon 5 Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 How much exp did you had before you went and towed the ship?
GREG MILLER Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 You may have had some illegal cargo aboard somewhere you didn't know about. Resnig and his damn hidden porn stash gets me nailed all the time.
Guest MIKE113 Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 I tend to agree with Soback. That has happened to me many times. You must have situational awareness at all times!...

jsite Posted June 25, 2002 Author Report Posted June 25, 2002 Thanks for the cargo info. As for the exp problem, I was at 0 exp (I'm still a newb busy mining cuz it's expensive to replace lost fighters) and went to -5000 right after turning the ship in, maybe someone warped in and blew something up while I was in the GalcomHQ station? Or I just missed the other ships, I could have sworn there were no other red blips. Thanks for all the help!
