ODS Operations

Hi,

Yep, I'm a newbie with a question, but I can't find a reference to this being asked before, so I'll go out on a limb and ask.

If I go into a region, and there is someone attacking the base, and I manage to repel the invasion, but the ODS defending the planet is severely damaged, how do I repair it?

I can go to a starstation and buy a new ODS, but I can't figure out how to deploy it. I can't tractor it anywhere, because it's stuck in orbit. And ships come and go, but it doesn't get any healthier.

So anything anyone knows about ODS's that isn't in the manual, please let me know.

Sorry man. you can't deploy ODS systems, you can't repair other entities, and you can't tractor an object in orbit

Okay then, what I have to do is destroy the ODS, and it will rebuild? A little strange I think. It's emitting an SOS so no one will attack it to finish it off.

The repair time for ODS systems is 480 mins. And you don't have to finish it off for it to be rebuilt. But, if you don't want to see the SOS emitter, then, finish it off.
