Recommended places to look please.Whats this silver box I should look out for?I have win98 and win2K, will it play on either of my systems?ANything I should look out for? I am anxious to play BCM, but dont know if I can wait 3 months. I will probably appreciate BCM if I get to play a little BC3K first... Thanks!
Guest Shingen Posted March 19, 2001 Report Posted March 19, 2001 Read the Docs, Read the Faqs! Read the forums! SEEK AND YE SHALL FIND!'nuff said------------------ Commander Shingen UCV Deathstrike Assassin "Death is inevitable, it's life that's uncertain"
Guest Posted March 19, 2001 Report Posted March 19, 2001 Just because I am a nice guy, you need to use the win98 machine, BC3K is a dos based game, and win2k does not have dos.DO NOT get the silver box, you want the Blue box BC3000AD 2.0 and I believe the SC released the 2.06 version as well.Look around the forums and you will find out where you can get it, also look on the main front page and follow some of those links, they will lead you to the right places. Also, when you find the 2.0 or 2.6 or whatever that version was, load the patches, adds some great stuff to bc3K!!!CYA out there!! ------------------ CMDR Jaguar GCV Armageddon, Starpath (Mars) Prime Fleet, Delta Wing ICQ# 24007233 External Beta Tester Battlecruiser Millenium
Guest dnoyeB! Posted March 19, 2001 Report Posted March 19, 2001 Why should I endure figuring out how to and what I need to do to install this thing? Will that add to my enjoyment?I think your stalling me.BATTLESTATIONSRED ALERT ...Theres something out there were not supposed to see...
Guest Shingen Posted March 19, 2001 Report Posted March 19, 2001 [rp] BC3K is not for the faint of heart! [/rp]..ok, I'll quit now.. ------------------ Commander Shingen UCV Deathstrike Assassin "Death is inevitable, it's life that's uncertain"
Guest Posted March 19, 2001 Report Posted March 19, 2001 DnoyeB,We are not stalling you, we are breaking you in so to speak. When I was in the army, I was taught to fend for myself, they would not lead me around by the hand. We do not lead people around by the hand here either. All the info you need is here, honest. You just have to find it, and that is what the search function is for. Also, explore the main page, 3000AD main page You will find a WHOLE LOT of pertinent info there.Need more help? ICQ me, we don't like to clutter up the forums with things that are already here.CYA ------------------ CMDR Jaguar GCV Armageddon, Starpath (Mars) Prime Fleet, Delta Wing ICQ# 24007233 External Beta Tester Battlecruiser Millenium[This message has been edited by Jaguar (edited 03-19-2001).]
Eclipse Posted March 19, 2001 Report Posted March 19, 2001 I believe Mike or someone said we are a COMMUNITY, not and instruction book. We will give you tips, but for the most part if it's in the manual, FAQ, or has already been discussed, we'll give you a start on finding it. Gallion Posted March 20, 2001 Report Posted March 20, 2001 A good place to start would be to read the manual (available at the download page) and stay away from the silver box!Welcome and hopefully this will not turn into your nightmare TTFN------------------ Rear Admiral Gallion ICV-Graf Spee, Spectre (Antis) Executive Officer, Spectre Fleet"You can only love or hate something you truly understand."
