Help, how to control my ship

This is captain Frank of the starship Enterprise. Man, that sounds good. I alsways dreamed of a game on which you can control every aspect. But ok; I am new here and love to join the "fleet". I have only no idea on how to control my ship. On the exploration game I am been shot down, after only a short fly (I have discovered to engage my engine) Is there any "readme" file or what so ever to guide me through? Or do I have to try everything? I don't even know how to shoot! (you won't live long if so, that's for sure). Can anyone help me! I don't to try everything! That takes hours!

Well, thanks. I think I'm going to understand what I'm talking about now.

Feeling stupid but still asking: where do I change controls/watch controls (keybord/mouse). For example: how to fire lasers and how to aim?

You obviously don't like reading the manual. Everything is described in it, if you don't read it you will not know much about the game besides the very basics, and will be missing much. I will be kind and help you along, to fire weapons you need to activate your weapon systems first, do that by pressing "w", to fire them press "enter", to change missile press "backspace" to fire missle "space bar" to switch controls press either "ALT+O" this will bring up an options screen where you can choose whether you like to control the ship by keyboard or joystick. Good luck, and read the manual, without it you wont get far.
