Soback Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 I was just browsing through the forums and something occured to me. Why is the Supreme Cmdr member # is 308? Shouldn't it be #1, who are the other 307 members before him?
Guest Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 It's funny you have asked that now, I asked the SC that myself last night. That's just the way it worked out somehow!! lolThere are only a few active posters with a number lower then mine as well, and was wondering about that too.Weird!!
Charles Lindsey Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 I'm one of them But I think he used to spell it out completely. Supreme Commander (I think) was #1 followed by Tin (justin, the web page guy) then a bunch of the old regulars. Something like that.
Charles Lindsey Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 Have you also noticed that a very few of us are simply registered "A Long Time Ago!" ? Those of us like that registered in the first few days of this UBB board's existence. (I really should have edited but I wanted these two posts to be clean and unaltered)
Joel Schultz Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 I've seen posts from one "Ron Wallin" (aka "Akira" according to the sig) who is literally under #1 -- he's #0 according to UBB! Dunno who's #1...
aramike Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 Well, I believe that the UBB assigns an automatic member #1 - the initial administrator.
Epsilon 5 Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 THIS is the first member. The ex-orion fleet leader, which I don't know anything about. http://www.3000ad.com/cgibin/ultimatebb.cg...ic&f=6&t=000055 I took a lot of time searchig for it...(Just revised it... we have 2 member #0... Antti Junkkari AND Ron Wallin (Akira))[ 05-09-2001: Message edited by: Epsilon 5 ]
aramike Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 Apparently member #0 is for anyone who is no longer in the system. For example, aramike01 would be member number 0 (I'm just "aramike" now)."Ron Wallin" was changed to "Akira", "Antti Junkarri" was banned. As for a member #1, no such member appears to exist.[ 05-09-2001: Message edited by: aramike ]
Steve Schacher Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 I feel like I'm watching The Prisoner. quote:I am number 2. Who is number 1? You are number 6. I am not a number, I am a human being!
Cmdr Nova Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 The proof to aramike's statement is here.Check the profile of anybody with member #0. (see Epsilon 5's link above)it displays this: No member profile found for member numberend of discussion. member 1 is most likely tin, the web designer who programed this and set it up at first. Check the fleet DB and he will show up as the first person.
aramike Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 Actually, Nova, there is no member with #1. I guarantee it.
Akuma Minako Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 Feels like a prisioner too.... "Calling number 256?! 256 you're in detail duty!" Sorry #256.... lol!
echo Posted May 9, 2001 Report Posted May 9, 2001 SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE!!!!!! sorry couldn't help it.
Supreme Cmdr Posted May 10, 2001 Report Posted May 10, 2001 Aramike is right. Member #1 is a default admin account set up by UBB - and which should be deleted once UBB is up and running. Thats what I did.I was member #308 because of the time I created this account. In fact #87 is my dsmart account.Once I figure out how to hack the records, I'll switch profiles with whoever is #2
Epsilon 5 Posted May 10, 2001 Report Posted May 10, 2001 Why #2? You can't set yourself to #1?Go ahead, hack. Everybody does that these days
Guest Remo Williams Posted May 10, 2001 Report Posted May 10, 2001 LOL! Look out #2 your about to become #308.
Guest Posted May 10, 2001 Report Posted May 10, 2001 Hehehe, I always wondered, why I have such a low member #. Well, it's a long time ago since I signed up here, but that didn't explain my low number. Then I thought it has to do with my nick starting with "A" as the first letter. Hm, seems a bit random now for me.
Guest Deadboy Posted May 11, 2001 Report Posted May 11, 2001 I have been around cince just before the free version of BC3K. A reader mostly, not much I can contribute that someone else has already said....I guess that makes me a lurker. Damn, that sounds sinister. Oh well, the more the merrier right guys??Deadboy-out GCV-Whumpus1-(no present fleet)
Joaquin Posted May 11, 2001 Report Posted May 11, 2001 Kirk Stryker Member # 0 Just thought you guys would be interested.
Supreme Cmdr Posted May 11, 2001 Report Posted May 11, 2001 There is no member 0 in the database. Where'd you get that from?
