Exactly how many and of what type of ACM scenarios can I expect in BCM? The VCF says:

quote:

There will be several single and multi player BCM campaigns in the final release product for all the relevant careers.

Exactly how many is that? And will there be more available for download post-release?

I've been wondering that to.

And will an ACM for every career?

Or just for Cap ship captain?

will there be more available for download post-release?

Yes with the BCM GBS (Game Builder System)

I'm sure there will be many third party

ACMs popping up on fan pages and the like.

No, I remember reading somewhere that there will only be ACM for the terran military commander career. I think the BC3k v2.0 ACM campaign will be ported to BCM, too. Then there are the Instant Action and Training Academy missions.

Also, since the GBS has been (or will be, I'm not sure) released to the public, we can pretty much expect to find the experienced players creating their own missions and posting them here.

No, I don't think the VCF would just flat out lie like that. (See above quote) You're both quite right about the GBS and people making third-party missions and TODs for it. I was just trying to ascertain the extent of

quote:

several single and multi player BCM campaigns

And how exactly are

quote:

relevant careers

defined?

There will only be 2 ACM (the ported BC3K v2.0x one and a new 15 mission one for BCM) scenarios and both are designed to be played as Terran/Military, though nothing is stopping you from playing them as any race/caste.

Plus a bunch of IA scenarios

Multiplayer player campaigns are a different story entirely.

In ROAM mode, you could play BCM forever and with different race/caste/career combos, so, why waste my time doing ACM scenarios? Besides, GBSII is fairly easier and more straightforward than the previous GBS, so, doing new ACM/IA/TA scenarios, will be easy (for those who invest the time in learning it).

Would it be possible using the GBSII, to create an ACM that's dynamic: meaning that the next mission or TOD depends on the results of the previos one?

In GBS-I it was possible to create branching scripts with a vbirtually unlimited number of branches. In fact, using a rather simple startup script, you could quite easily link any number of other people's acm scripts together based on events or player actions. As a tool, the GBS is extraordinarily flexible.
