As I feared, it's been nearly a year since I stepped down and I've only logged 72 game hours since then. Sad, very sad.

Guest MIKE113 Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 "It" is in Omicron Eridani system!! Tyrn was correct.
Viper2000 Posted March 11, 2003 Author Report Posted March 11, 2003 I remember being in that system and I never saw it.
Viper2000 Posted March 11, 2003 Author Report Posted March 11, 2003 Ok this comes outta nowhere but here it goes, how do I use flux fields?
Tyrn Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 quote:Originally posted by MIKE113: "It" is in Omicron Eridani system!! Tyrn was correct. Ah, sweet vindication...of course now I'll have to dust off the center seat this weekend and verify it myself.
Tyrn Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 quote:Originally posted by Viper2000: Ok this comes outta nowhere but here it goes, how do I use flux fields? Carefully, really. Flux fields lead to three types of areas: Planetary systems, super novas, and black holes. The last category tend to solve all your maintenance problems with a loud bang! If you still have the desire to fly by flux, just run your craft right through it and it will do the rest. Note that sometimes it will drop you right back where you started instead of at one of the other "ends."
Guest Grayfox Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 my bad tyrn, i was thinking of the planet, not the system. again my apologies. BUT, the mission has been accomplished, and he has done some extracurricular reading (like every good BC commander should )... or someone ratted it out to him...
Tyrn Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 quote:Originally posted by Grayfox: my bad tyrn, i was thinking of the planet, not the system. again my apologies.Don't worry mistakes like that are easily made. <rp> Comms, get me Orion Fleet Command. It seems their grunts need a refresher on Nav chart reading. </rp> It was nice to see the Insurgent reaction to this little situation though, although I'm not sure whether ShoHashi is unsure of where New America is located or whether that was an attempt at disinformation

Actually, Mike113 and Tyrn ARE indeed correct. New America is located in the Terran Quadrant, Omicron Eridani System near the planet Midae. [ 03-11-2003, 06:44 PM: Message edited by: ShoHashi ]

Tyrn Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 quote:Originally posted by Grayfox: hey, my nav skills are just fine thanks It was just far too tempting.

Wolferz Posted May 8, 2003 Report Posted May 8, 2003 Want a real thrill and challenge Vlad? Start a game as a Galcom commander, then start shooting up GalCom assets whereever you find them. Try Earth space first. Let me know how long you last before your ship goes DeD.
