Viper2000 Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Im taking an upgraded nightstar class with a whole lotta supplies into Gammulan space for alittle fun. So far ive been all the way to Vega Eridani with my carrier and I have taken out several spacestations along the way without too much trouble. Ive never tried to attack the Gammulan space because of their high tech level, but im wondering if my tactic in the other sectors will work with the Gammulans. My tactic being cloaking, getting real close to the enemy station and firing at it till it SOSs then taking it over. I want to get all the way to Gamma one and then random the whole damn planet.

Although it's been a long time since I last ventured that way, I'm fairly sure that your tactics will continue to serve you well right for all but possibly one station right in the heart of Gammulan territory.
Viper2000 Posted March 11, 2003 Author Report Posted March 11, 2003 Good. Now lets just hope the cloaking system stays intact and resnig stays in his quarters. Can anyone think of anything I should do or get before heading out. Ive already got a bunch of spare parts, a whole lotta fuel, and lots of missles so I think im set.
Supreme Cmdr Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Don't forget about the body bags!! Gotta have 'em
Kalshion Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 Claoking to attack a station is a no it all really... everyone who has attacked a station *in a carrier* knows to cloak or else they'll lose the battle REAL fast = however becareful when cloaked if your meter reachs 100% then your crew will start getting radiation sickness.. *I think it was 100%* Most of the time once the meter hit's 75% I break off and decloak *A certain distence from the
Viper2000 Posted March 12, 2003 Author Report Posted March 12, 2003 ive run it at 120 for 30 minutes before. I mean radiation took over the ship after I decloaked but it didnt effect the system any.

Kalshion Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 rofl you know.. we need a ROFL emoticon*SP*
Viper2000 Posted March 12, 2003 Author Report Posted March 12, 2003 The Nightstar class is very powerful. I was surprised at how fast I took out a stormcarrier.
Guest Remo Williams Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 quote:Of course the fact that no one on board needs a night light now is just an added bonus! LMAO! Sounds like a Gammulan crew.
Kalshion Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 look on bright side people At least at night our marines won't have trouble seeing them =) all they gotta look for is these strange looky green glowly thingies walking around with weapons, and a jumppack
Vlad Posted May 8, 2003 Report Posted May 8, 2003 Sounds like an awsome idea there. I think I will adopt this Quest as well, Death is Death no matter what the race. Conquering Spacestations and then buying OTS From them then Nuking gam targets on the planets (well at least till i have the R.A.N.D.O.M.)and moving on Sounds good. Thanks for the Suggested Scenario. Killing with the mission to kill, Right up my alley!! May help galcom and Do gooders and kill scenceless killers like myself . No, better idea in fact Ill reverse that Ill take the GAMS SIDE AND TAKE OUT GALCOM YES THAT WILL TEACH THOSE DO GOODERS A LESSON PREPARE TO DIE !!!!!
Emmett.hendrick Posted May 9, 2003 Report Posted May 9, 2003 Ah yes the suicidal charge to Gammulan space. Currently in the middle on one myself. Longest I've done is 3 game days in Gam space(around Gamma1 if i remember) but a patch update forced me to wipe the saved game so I'm enroute again. If you feel comfortable that far in Gam space on your own have a gander at Wraith fleet thats were many of us spend much of our time

I've got about 100 Million in the bank, do you think that would be enough?

Jez you whimps!!! be a real man - I just started a brand new career turned my Nightstar towards Gammulan space and turned on the hyperspace engines. Currently about half way there only thing slowing me down is that I have to send my shuttles back to collect my drones(silly mistake on my behalf left em on Lyrius) When you need supplies take over the nearest station - I have a trail of about 4 'converted' stations behind me.
SymporiuM Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Ok, can someone explain this to me: Why is the Stormcarrier so good? It has 7 PTA turrets, less turrets than the AEOSTORM, and the other big supercruiser (the green one, don't remember the name though ) And the sheilds and armor are nothing to be happy about - so well, why is it the "ultimate" Carrier in the game, as everybody describes it as. Hope you can answer this And I must say it's really cool though - even if it is sooo slow
Supreme Cmdr Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Here's a tip, go up against one and you'll see for yourself. In fact, try this Add the /cheat param to your game shortcutStart a new game with your choice of assets and whatever e.g. Ter/MilLaunch from station and press 0 to stop the shipLeft-click on the CHEATS menu that appears on the top-left. And go to CREATE/CRAFTS. Pick the Stormcarrier from there and create it as any hostile race/caste you like e.g. Gammulan/MilitaryGo to Tacops and hit the HOLD button to disable AI updates. Now select the Stormcarrier and give it orders to attack youToggle the HOLD button again to re-enable AI processing. Good luck!!
Vlad Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 LOL I an a AVID non-cheater. Now cracks and game spots are differant thing. Just Find a Storm carrier on your own im sure flieing to a planet and shooting some buildings aught to rile one up pretty quick when you return to space. P.S. OTS are gold to piss off gamerians
