Eisenhorn Posted October 19, 2003 Report Posted October 19, 2003 Can a capital ship bombard a planet in UC? I guess I'm asking can you target bases from space or do you have to get down there yourself and do it up close and personal.

Urza Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 OTS weapons can be deployed to attack ground targets from orbit, but beam weapons can't. I believe there's going to be some way for ground targets to attack things in orbit, but I'm not sure about that.

q_dragon Posted December 2, 2003 Report Posted December 2, 2003 Thanks for the tip...My CC's seen a lot of planetary combat, and I don't think she ever liked it. It was a cool effect watching the PTA sweep through the base though

Nothing like launching a well co-ordinated air/ground offensive with all your marine's, FC's and IC's involved. And then to top it all off send you AE down to join the fun and order your teams around by TACOPS. So much fun.
