Question concerning UC economy

Is the station's economy static or does it change based on your trading and NPC trading. So far after about 20 hours of game play I've noticed no change in suply and demand prices. The reason for this question is that im writing a small little program that will calculate best item for trade based on route and best route based upon item. I'm hoping that there are poeple out there who have alot more game time out there to clarify this for me thanks.

Excelent, I'll have to look for that. But, I'm trying to make more of an interactive table. Users enter a starting and ending location and the program displays the top 5-10 trade items for not only the destination but the return trip, along with profit margin and weight per item. It's more or less for educational purposes to see if it can be the first working program. I haven't had much success with other ideas.

There's an excellent chart in the Universal Combat/docs/appendix folder. It is installed when you install Universal Combat (and BCM/BCMG for that matter). It is in html format, called tradeitems.html, I believe. There are also several other appendixes that are extremely usefull.

Choose a map then just put your mouse over a planet its all BCMG data though.

Try that. It's in the web ring. It's Riga's Indie page. Some info is outdated but there is a nice explanation of trade level and station specialties.
