Fighters won't refit

I find that after long periods out of the ship can't get my crews working on my fighters. Am I doing something wrong? Is there another step Im missing?

Try this thread.

That's only one of many. I found that one by using the search function with the words "flight engineer". I would try Newbie Discussions and General Issues separately. Searching "all open forums" takes a while.

I also had this 'problem'. Turns out it was the charge rate on my FC or SC was 0. I had to wait a bit for it to recharge. I believe it's on Tactical-Launch, then the ship in question. At the bottom is the charge reading. Seems more likely considering you specifically mention you had them out for a long period.
