Alt-e is exiting me out of the game

Sometimes when I hit Alt + E to exit my craft it exits me out of the game and not my ship (with no error messages) Please help somebody! The game is Universal Combat

CTRL+E doesn't exit the craft

I meant alt+ E and the game i'm refering too is Universal Combat

Kamiwill: You're still doing your sig wrong. Register the game, add your system info, and then put a link to your system info page in your sig.

Also, Alt+E is probably causing your game to crash, either because you dont have the newest patch, or you patched wrong, OR your video card does not have a vertex shader.
