Having Trouble with the transporter

Hi,

I have nine people including my AE in the transproter and can't setpos to deploy them

Please let me know if my steps are correct.

1 I start out in a roam campaign with a Firestorm as my craft,

2 I jump to earth and make planetfall

3 while this is happening I go to logistix and assign my AE, a medic , and some marines to the transporter

4 once my ship makes planetfall and tehn the 2nd waypoint (halt) I check perscan and verify that everyone is in the transprter room.

5 In tacops I zoom to the ground under/around my craft and click the transporter tab. The crew tab reads 9 people in the transporter room , but the setpos, deploy , and evac tabs are all red ( I expect the deploy/evac ones to be since I havent' done anything else yet)

6 I try clicking on the setpos tab and nothing happens so I check the manual again and reading it, I go to logistix to make sure the transporter has power, ti does.

I go back and try clicking around but the setpos botton simply will not work.

please help out a relative noob .

btw on an earlier roam game I had marines deployed from a shuttle craft but couldn't get any of them back to the ship. I would go to each and check the evacuate box but they would never go to the shuttles I sent down to evac and the evac Icon never changed to yellow(from white) to use the tranporter , when I said never I'm talking around 15 minutes or so.

Well, I've never made planetfall then used the transporters, kind of defeats the purpose. Usually you use the transporters from space, so you don't have to make planetfall.

no I was trying to use the transporter in the atmosphere. sorry , I tested it out and it looks like it works from space..

You know, I was just thinking that it would be so nice to be able to use the transporter on these annoying little intruders I see running around my ship called "publishers" Found a nice spot on Jupiter for them. Maybe in RC5 .
