No RE in Supercruisers???

hello i resently started a roam game with the warmonger and i noticed that there was no RE onboard. When i displayed the crew stats in my VDD it sayed that all of my officers were on station but my RE was absent also I checked my tactical computer and there was still no sign of her. Is this normal??? if so then how do i identify artifacts???

You can't have artifacts in cruisers

Look at the appendix under the crafts section to see what is the authorized crew complement of each asset.
