Microsoft sidewinder throttle control

Any else here have problems getting the throttle control to work in UC? I've tried everything and have downloaded the latest patch. This just really bothers me that a game looking so good just cannot read a standard joystick. There is nothing for configuring the joystick either.

I really want to play the game but it seems all the ships fly at 5x my speed.

Yes sometimes I do, but usually if I go to max throttle then min using the keyboard then it works. At least until I go fly a fighter or shuttle etc. Then I have to do it again.

I have this stick. Its not the stick, mine works fine. And if it doesn't, blame the stick's manufacturer because they supply the driver for it. UC uses Directinput. Also, configuring the stick would be done using a program provided by, yup you guessed it, the manufacturer. Check the control panel -> game controllers.

Do you understand how the throttle works? Read page 5 of the manual revisions doc to understand how it works. Also, what level power allocation do you have to your engines?

And finally, where's your profile? This needs to be done to show that you are a legit owner of the game.
