many noob questions

i'm completely new to the Battlecruiser series, and i don't know that much

when i saw Gamespot gave this a 3 hour learning curve, i figured i could cut that in half, like i do with most other games, but I've already played about 2 or more hours and I know less than half the things i should

QUESTIONS:

1. The tutorial. I download this with the patch right? and this is just a text document, but with more info than in the manual? I'll download when i have time and maybe it will help me

2. Planetfall. I always die during planetfall. What am i supposed to do? or is this a glitch? it barely gives me any time to do anything

3. Roam vs. Roam and Explore. Is there a difference? I tried both and can't tell what the difference is

4. Vehicles. On the ground i can't board vehicles, r there only some you can board?

5. Orders in Roam mode. Whenever i request for a mission or orders in Roam mode, it doesn't give me anything.

any additional help or tips would be appreciated

1. yep text document, very usefull for beginners

2. you probably are trying to planetfall on a hostile planet. IE. either hostile as in bad guys, or hostile environment. for instance jupiter will kill you.

3.not sure what you mean

4.you have to have a certain rank to board certain vehicles. except for ones that come with your ship. some vehicles require certain types of crew to operate as well. (see the reference files)

5. you must be in the campain to use this feature.

I know it sucks to hear this but you really need to read every help/reference file that comes with the game. even the current VCF (bug report) ones. but when it all comes together you will see this game is very, very good. it lets you do almost anything you would want too. or at least what makes sense to do. for instance deploying vehicles in space would not be all that exciting.

If you don't set a waypoint on the planet first, you will crash.

Had you read the manual and played the tutorial, you won't be asking ANY of these questions.
