I've almost forgot to greet all the people here in the forum... Sorry! I' ve just started to play seriously UC, since I bought it many months ago. Really great stuff. Can't wait to buy UCAWA to get even better gameplay... So, hello everyone, hope to become a good friend of yours. Now... Off to train myself...

Welcome to our little obsession...

You up to the challenge of fleet membership?

Posted

Thanks for asking, but I think I'll pass for now. Don't want to slow you down with my n00bness. Maybe, if you're still recruiting, I'll join later, when I've hardened my skin.

Btw, how many pages has the english/american manual? I have the italian one and, if it is like BCMG manual, it's lacking many things. My manual has 54 pages, including credits. If it's the case, I'll ask a copy to the CAT.

ANOTHER ITALIAN!!!! Ciao bello!!!

I fear you'll not get a complete printed manual from the CAT.

For the noobish thing it is not a problem as some fleets have theyr own academy that have to attend before being assignet to affective duty; so it will be the best way to harden your skin...

Prime Fleet is one of those with a training program.

Welcome Asso, and Dennys right jumping right into the fray with one of the old timers as an instructor is the fastest way to learn the game and many hints at game play.

The other method is trial and error and alot of reading here on the forums.

If I remember correctly ISS, Prime, and EarthCom have active training programs for new community members. If you want to be with the people that started it all though there is only one choice.

You mean you want him to go bug Tac or you want him to join Orion?

On a more serious note my new friends, each fleet has a variety of personalities, activities, and (for lack of a better term) style. Since we don't allow fleet transfers once you get into the fleets, then take your time and do a little research. Go check out how active members are in the prospective fleets, and what kinds of things they do. Read some of the fleet forums for the fleets you might be interested in. Even check out old RP thread postings to get a sense of each fleet's "flavor." Then, hopefully, when you sign up somewhere it'll be a good fit for you.

Clear skies.

Sure if they actual had an academy back then that would be the thing to do, but since they didn't actual provide training probably not.

Then you would have to look to me alone for the actual beginning, but its all in the history here no need for me to point out the facts.

Thanks everyone for the attention, I'm now gathering informations. And for the manual, I think I've read a topic about this, don't remember where, I found it casually when searching out the forum. I think I remember SC saying that if you had registered you could ask. If I find again I'll re-read and maybe post a link.

Yup. The INSURGENTS.

Simply register in the fleet database login page that is available in the fleet faq. Then, introduce yourself in the Insurgent topic sticky thread "New Recruits wanting to Join" or the most current roll call thread.

I think I'll pass the fleet thing for now because I don't have much time and I'm not sure I'd be present whenever I'm needed... Maybe next seasons. And occasionally I'll try to join some MP games as a pirate. I'll sign in when I can. Thanks again for the infos and for the welcome!
