CTD While upgrading Reactor

Day: 3 (3 days into the roam game)

Componant: Reactor - TRELLIS

Game version: Both (The release version and the one that SC just released)

Not sure if the time this occurs really matters.

This happens while in orbit over earth, near galcom HQ

I recently got the Credits (thanks to 3 successful mining trips) to buy a Trellis and start upgrading my reactor. While allocating power I notice that I go to Red alert (duh since the reactor is damaged).. about 10 seconds after I'll CTD

So, I decided to see if it was time related or not. I waited 10 minutes after the first CTD and tried upgrading, same thing happened after 10 seconds eclased on the clock when we went to Red Alert

I decided to see if its reactor related or not.. and its not, if i try it with the eyestar its the same thing, same goes for the other reactors

Everything is fine when upgrading shields, engines and armor.. just the reactor bit is the problem

Just tried this with the ACM Campaign, I got some strange new reactor while in combat, its better than the TRELLIS but its not called A Karanian Reactor

Anywho, I tried upgrading it with this (seeing as this is an ACM campaign.. NOT roam) I thought there might've been a difference but it seems there wasn't. Same thing occured the momment I get to red alert I CTD

This has been fixed. It was related to the station engineers being put on station during a Red alert condition (which would happen when you start fiddling around with the reactor - e.g. to upgrade it). Until the final patch is out, if you have to upgrade your reactor, do it ONLY while docked at a station.

Uhhhh SC... you can't upgrade ANYTHING while docked... You said it yourself in another topic somewhere around here that upgrades can only be done outside of a station *shrugs* but you can't upgrade while docked.. already tried and won't work

You can start the upgrade in space and then quickly dock at a station and complete the uprades as a repair at the station.
