OPERATING SYSTEM: (winXP with sp1)

OS ENVIRONMENT: (1024x768 res with 32bit color quality)

GAME ENVIRONMENT: (800x600 res in fullscreen with all installed defaults)

GAME VERSION: (2.00.11)

GAME TYPE: (mp)

The game is brand spanking new from the store, never been installed before I bought it. I installed it, updated it, updated Directx to 9.0b, and updated my video driver because I thought the video driver might be the problem. The single player executably ran fine no problems there (so far).

The multiplayer executable on the other hand has done completely the opposite so far. The updates fixed the hang up problem.

The other problem has to do with the topic of this thread which are the Graphics on the browser screen and the graphics on the SNG(player options) screen.

It is mainly text, just a guess on my part as there may be some other graphics missing, but I have no idea what the server list is supposed to look like as I have yet see anything displayed on it, except the arrows in the bottom right hand corner of the server list area which amazing are visible. I do understand what is supposed to be on the SNG screen. According to the manual, the SNG screen is to be the same in the multiplayer mode as the single player mode and the single play mode works. Judging by the way the SNG screen looks in the single player mode, on the SNG mode in the multiplayer mode it looks like the text is missing.

For instance in single player mode looks like the following:

Name:

Sex:Male the drop down menu which allows you to choose between male or female

etc..

Then there are the career, gear, and asset view buttons and the accept and cancel buttons on the bottom.

In multiplayer mode, the options categories, the selected options, and the drop-down (or in this case drop-right) menu are all invisible. The drop down buttons are visible, and then if i click on a drop down menu an empty box will show up to the right of the button. The boxes are of varying sizes according to the length of the list and the length of the individual text strings. All the buttons on the bottom are visible. If click around in the various boxes of the drop-down lists, the picture to the right which shows what the character looks like changes just like it does in single player mode. The picture of the asset also changes as I click around on the boxes too. The "Start New Game" text graphic is visible, too. When I click on the "GEAR" button where the pictures would be at and where the text of the gear would be and should be, the area is completely blank. It is as if the text was hidden, but the "hot areas" of the choices are still active and running. If I click on the area I would click on to change the players name and pressed at random the alpha keys on the keyboard, I then hit the accept button and finally the the client would try to connect to a server (i do not know which server though).

All the places that were blank on SNG screen by using the client are blank using the All-Seeing Eye Program to find the servers and connect to one of them.

It does not appear to be a hardware problem, if it was a hardware problem, the single player would not have worked. If it was a driver problem, the problem was happening before I updated the display driver. So something is not right with the multiplayer executable or something else that deals with the multiplayer mode.

I have tried to make this report as clearly I could. If you can help me out with this, I would sincerely appreciate it. I am studying right now to be a computer programmer, and I implemented some of the stuff I have learned in my 3 years of classes in building this report. Hopefully this information will help in solving the problem. I also appreciate you for allowing us users to share our problems and comments. I appreciate you letting us use this forum to share these issues.

You have an S3 graphics card. Enough said. This has nothing to do with the game or the game browser. It has to do with your graphics card drivers or something else on your end. There is no difference between the multiplayer screen and the regular single player, apart from the amount and type of information displayed.

In fact, I'm surprised that card even works as it does not meet with the minimum video card specs required for the game.

And speaking of specs, please login to your profile and fix it. You have hard disk information in your memory information field etc.
