Supreme Cmdr Posted May 22, 2002 Report Posted May 22, 2002 The original plans to release add-ons for BCM, have been changed. Due to the sheer amount of work that has gone into the BCM engines since it was released back in November 2001, and also because the EB exclusive made it difficult for other retailers (they're pissed) to stock the product, XP1 is now a full product. The fourth title in the Battlecruiser series, called Battlecruiser Generations The real-world units created and designed for XP2 will be used on the pre-nuclear BCO server which, unlike other servers, doesn't support sci-fi units. Since you will be able to have up to five characters per account (in BCO), you will be able to play with real-world or sci-fi units depending on which server you are on. No, there won't be any cross-overs. So, no flying an S-Fighter from Sygan to Earth and blowing up a wing of F14 Tomcats. Official announcements coming soon [ 05-28-2002, 15:21: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

Soback Posted May 22, 2002 Report Posted May 22, 2002 Cool, who cares if it's an add on or another game. As long as it's out and we can play it.

CommanderJohnson Posted May 22, 2002 Report Posted May 22, 2002 So the SC is milking us for even MORE money by making it stand alone? Great, he deserves it since all the BC games **ROCK**!

If you had waited for the official annoucement (just like I said in the first post), you'd then know that existing BCM owners will be able to purchase BCG at reduced price. Naturally, POP required. Wait for the official announcement and quit making assumptions.
Guest Remo Williams Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 Indeed, very cool cover art. I can hardly wait for the announcement.
Epsilon 5 Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 quote:Naturally, POP required. What kind of POP would that be? (I KNOW what it means, I want to know what POP's are applicable ) Is showing the original CD enough?
Roberto Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 Normaly you send in the UPC from the box (which Im glad I kept!!!), well thats with some games anyway.
Jerrai Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 quote:Originally posted by Roberto: Normaly you send in the UPC from the box (which Im glad I kept!!!), well thats with some games anyway.i dont wanna cut the box up, cant i just fax my ebgames.com shipping slip? but since BCG is gonna be better than BCM, id pay full price (now dont single me out and make me pay full price either)
Guest Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 I hope it doesn't require a box, since those of us (including me), who ordered from BMT and did not get a box

xierxior Posted May 24, 2002 Report Posted May 24, 2002 Will BCG contain the same feature set as the origional one planned for xp-1?
Supreme Cmdr Posted May 24, 2002 Author Report Posted May 24, 2002 quote:Originally posted by xierxior: Will BCG contain the same feature set as the origional one planned for xp-1?Yes. There are no plans to change the feature set. Its just a product name change. Similar to changing BC:3020AD to BCM (if you recall). Sure, a couple of items may get revised, dropped, added etc but the notion is not that a name change means a product change. Its just a name and focus change.
Urza Posted May 25, 2002 Report Posted May 25, 2002 Sounds exciting. Can't wait to see how this one develops.
