Kevin Trotter Posted May 2, 2003 Report Posted May 2, 2003 Some of you will not like this movie but I thought it was GREAT!!!!.New additions like Nightcrawler Iceman and Pyro were welcome. We even saw glimpses *Spoiler alert* of Collosus who looks like he is already the most kickass Xman. This film is darker and does a good job of showing the true scope of the X-Men's powers. We even get to see the ole "beserker rage" displayed. Better special effects, storylines that tie up some loose ends and a shocker of an ending make this one an 8.5/10. Truly worth leaving work early
LordDavid Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 Very good movie IMO. More action packed than the first one.
Thomas Siemens Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 IMHO better than the first one. Definitely worth to see.
Supreme Cmdr Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 oh man, I'm giving this a 10/10 because I wasn't bored for one single moment! I have one word for Nightcrawler. OMG!!!! The way they pulled that off is nothing short of mind blowing. This sequel is by far better than the first one. As for Collosus, man, was that cool or what? And it only lasted for a mere few frames but man, that was cool. Oh, and I got to see a new Hulk trailer - a much better trailer this time. And it has increased my hopes for that movie.
d8alus Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 That movie left me all giddy and excited! I'm a HUGE fan of the X-men and this movie really managed to capture the essence of what they are. This movie should be the standard of how to follow comic books without ripping the story straight off the pages. Keep the general idea, but retell the story in a different way. And I guess we all know what X3 will be about...
Guest rtoolooze Posted May 3, 2003 Report Posted May 3, 2003 I did'nt like the first one all that much, but you guys have convinced me to check this one out. Looks like I'll be eating popcorn pretty soon, lol.

Guest Grayfox Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 a definite 10/10 they finally let wolverine off the leash... outstanding. just wish they would of done more with colossus (maybe a fastball special at the specops?). and the "Bamf" of nightcrawler was awesome. ahhh now for the 3rd one... hmmm lesee phoenix, more colossus, deadpool, juggernaut and the usual suspects excellent flick
Guest $iLk Posted May 5, 2003 Report Posted May 5, 2003 Magneto's scenes were awesome in this film... as was the fight between Wolfie and Deathstrike. Can't wait to see Sentinels maybe in X3... 10/10
Kevin Trotter Posted May 5, 2003 Author Report Posted May 5, 2003 Thats right $ilk! Bring on the frigging Sentinels!
Kevin Trotter Posted May 6, 2003 Author Report Posted May 6, 2003 In an interview in Sci-Fi.com the director Bryan Singer mentioned having to cut three scenes, Wolverine in the Danger room, a flying scene with Angel and a scene involving the Sentinals. Maybe next time as all were cut from the script and may end up in X3.
ShoHashi Posted May 6, 2003 Report Posted May 6, 2003 You guys really got me interested now...gotta go see this!
Guest Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 That was just plain AWESOME, incredible movie. Now, just have to wait until the 15th, 9 more days, just.....have.......to......wait......9......more.......days........
Charles Lindsey Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 It's good Sho. I got an impromptu invitation Sat night for Sun and when I woke up I said to myself "Self, why don't we go see that?" I was not dissappointed. Well I was but only because it could have been longer and I wouldn't have minded.
Joel Schultz Posted May 7, 2003 Report Posted May 7, 2003 Excellent movie! Me & the wife saw it the first afternoon it was out. I never thought I'd see the day where Logan almost gets the crap kicked out of him (though come to think of it, in the comics he got the adamantium ripped out of him by Magneto), but man that fight was good... *SPOILER ALERT* I liked Magneto's escape from prison -- I always wondered if he could "feel" humans due to our natural iron content. I guess normally humans don't have enough for him to lock onto or manipulate. I didn't like the ending so much though. I mean, here you got Drake (aka Iceman) and a breached dam. So who ends up saving the day (and getting killed -- or at least as dead as comic characters get)? Jean???? Bleah...
Kevin Trotter Posted May 7, 2003 Author Report Posted May 7, 2003 I know the SC just chastised me for not creating a link , but I suck at that, sorry. Anyway I read in CNN. Entertainment section that the producers of X2 are interested in doing solo projects for some of the XMan characters and Hugh Jackman is all for a Wolverine movie as well. Wouldnt it be great to do a Wolvie in Japan film as Bruce from Aint it cool .com suggested, directed by Ringo Lam? The mind boggles!

Guest Grayfox Posted May 8, 2003 Report Posted May 8, 2003 deadpool... must have deadpool... 2 weapon x's *drool* and must have... juggernaut...
