Cmdr Nova Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 I kinda liked it. Had some damn great animation. The plot... Was okay. Kinda the combination of sci-fi and old-school/fantasy. Seeing the old-style ships in space thing felt like..... Final Fantasy 9. With the airships and crowded airspace in the middle-ages environment stuff. The pace of the plot was a bit uneasy, and there wasn't anything that really stuck with me. Then again, I did read Treasure Island a couple times a while back. My little sister described it as a "cute" movie. I didn't really think much of it as a movie on it's own, but it's a great crossover feeling story. I still can't get over how much the animation was SOOO nice and how it reminded me of Titan AE.
Cmdr Nova Posted November 28, 2002 Author Report Posted November 28, 2002 Oh yeah. 7/10, considering it's a Disney movie. I expected it to be a bit more toned-down feeling, so that was a bit okay. THe pace still got to me, but anyway. It's okay. The kids will laugh through parts of it, adults would laugh through other parts of it, but the movie won't really go "kid-obsessive" or become a "classic", in my opinion.
