DVD Night - Star Trek the Motion Picture: Director's Edition

Very good DVD, good new special effects (you also finally get to see what V'Ger really looks like from the outside), good extras. I would have liked it if more special effects re-touch was done, but oh well. Of course, if you never liked the movie in the first place, you're probably not going to like it now, but its worth checking out.

The problem with Star Trek: The Motion Picture was that it spent WAY too much time showing off its special effects. Therefore, any new version that boasts of new special effects might as well include a bottle of sleeping pills.
