Both are brutal and bloody films... so much so that the MPAA seriously considered NC17 ratings for both (Passion is still under consideration). Both films share a lot in the way of cinamatography as well, bold and artsy. Lastly is the final tongue-in-cheek stab at the bogus antisemitic claims being made by media whores and those who have nothing better to do than stir up controversy to pay the bills. It's a bit of a triple entente for cinamatic satire. But, yeah, it's one of those unconfortable nervous laughter kinds of hilarious... as opposed to knee slapping hilarious. Boy howdy does that sound dry or what?
