LostInSpace
Heh, I thought oh no not another remake. After watching the trailer, it does look like it's a nice little update to the original ol' black and white version. Now passing the cattle prod to scrivener. Guest Grayfox
oooo yay... another remake (there i said it) hollywood must be running out of ideas to be remaking a move 3 times... *yawn* i see this as a video rental in my future
Scrivener
It's Peter Jackson's dream project and it really shows from the trailers. And King Kong has been remade way more than 3 times. Mighty Joe Young, for instance, was also another remake. I love that it's being kept period too.

King Kong, Frankenstein, Wolfman, Dracula, and Godzilla films are *never* remakes. Just like WOW is not a remake. These are great pieces of fiction that need to be retold and reintroduced in new ways every few years and i hope they keep on doing it for a long time. Supreme Cmdr
King Kong 'goes $32m over budget' This has better not suck. Seriously.
Scrivener
I'm starting to think that Peter Jackson may be living the life that Orsen Wells should have. So long as Kong makes makes money... I wonder what Jackson's third movie will be?
scorchedearth
$207+ and 3+ hours. Wow. Trailer looks AWESOME. Well, I never saw "Braindead" or "Heavenly Creatures" but "The Frighteners" was okay, and of course the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I think Kong will be good, because like Scrivener said, it's his dream project and I think he's got the story in mind and not $$ or fame or anything else, and he's already proven he can make epic movies well. It won't suck. But at a budgeted $207m, it's going to have to not suck a lot. -B

I haven't had this much anticipation for movies in a long time. Kong, Narnia. It's going to be a good (keeping fingers crossed) christmas season.
