The experiences of several individuals, including HitlerÔÇÿs young secretary and an S.S. doctor, provide a framework for this portrait of the downfall of the Third Reich. This movie is subtitled in English (German language) and will probably be found in the foreign language section of movies. It is also one of the most captivating movies on World War 2 I have ever seen. It covers the final few days of the 3rd Reich based on interviews with actual people who were in Berlin/Hitler's bunker during the final days of WW2 in Europe. It is more or less historically accurate - and Hitler isn't made out to be anything different than what people said he was who were actually there. No agenda here but the truth of what happened - including Hitler's rantings and ravings alongside his calm and pleasant demeanor to women who worked for him and family friends - to his utter contempt for the people of Germany. The actors who played Hitler, Eva Braun, Joseph Goebbels, Himmler, etc. looked the part and acted the part perfectly. Incredibly good acting, and incredibly good attention to detail. SS Officers shooting themselves upon word of Germany's surrender - and the fanaticism of the Hitler Youth defending Berlin... it's all covered.
