LostInSpace Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 NEW YORK (Reuters) - Viacom Inc.'s Paramount Pictures unit is ending its 14-year relationship with Tom Cruise's film production company because of the actor's offscreen behavior, the company's chairman said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. Frankly, I'm glad. I never did like him anyway.

Besides, he's setting up a hedge fund with investors to make movies; going the indie route. A lot of big names are doing it now. And everyone knows that he'll still make as much money on his own. Nothing to see here. Just the usual Hollywood rubbish.

I have read storied where they will leaflet someone who attacked them's neighborhood with child molestation accusations and generally make them have to explain that they aren't.

I just know they aren't really trying to convince us that an actor that has put 6 BILLION dollars in thier pocket got let go cause he MAY be a whack job?.....and Mel Gibson still has a studio deal? Please... in Hollyweird money talks and bullshit walks and Paramount is strolling right now. Case of soup grapes, publicist spin control plain and simple.
