Kalshion Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Before I post the quote, thank you to the person who found this for me A letter sent the office that was distributing the poster quote: I am sending the following open letter via email to Tennessee state Rep. Craig Fitzugh regarding the disgusting anti-President Bush flier that was being handed out in his campaign office, which also serves as the local campaign office of the Kerry-Edwards campaign in that part of West Tennessee. Dear Rep. Fitzhugh, As an American, a Tennessean, and a Christian, I am appalled by the flier that was being handed out in your campaign office in Ripley in recent days mocking people with mental disabilities. The poster portrays President George W. Bush as a special-needs child running a race in the Special Olympics, and has these words on it: Voting for Bush is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded. The flyer is appalling in its callous disregard for children with Down's Syndrome and other mental or physical disabilities - and for the parents who love them. Did you know this flyer was being distributed from your campaign office? If so, why did you allow it? If not, the question remains why do you have people working for your office who would resort to this sort of tactic to win an election? Is holding your seat in the Tennessee legislature that important to you? Or will you apologize? Voting for Bush is like voting in the Special Olympics Oh yea, and yes this is true, if you go to there office you'll find the poster there (already sent an e-mail to a friend who live's in Tennessee, and got a reponse back about two minutes after sending it.. he sent a copy via FAX... kinda disgusting how low the democratic party is willing to go) Democrat's Steep to new Lows
Guest Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Yep, this is indeed a new low for the Democrats. Am I surprised? NO, am I disapointed? Most definitely. This is just lower then low, and then Kerry's BS about Cheneys daughter. This is going to backfire so hard on the Dems come election day, it is gonna be staggering. They have lost their collective minds, and are going to suffer for it, BADLY.....
jamotto Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Yep, about as low as Republicans handing out fliers saying that the Democrats are going to ban the bible.
Guest Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 quote:Originally posted by jamotto: Yep, about as low as Republicans handing out fliers saying that the Democrats are going to ban the bible. In that case it was the truth, sorry Jamotto.... So far the Communist party is backing Kerry, along with a few other left wing radical groups, one of which of course is Moveon.org. ONe of their main goals is to get God out of everyday life, in Canada, they have locked the bible up in Churches, bibles are NOT allowed in a public venue, they are all but banned, this is EXACTLY what the Democrats and the left wing whackos in that party wish to do. Take the separation clause to the extreme, and that will mean the literal banning of the bible in public venues. A man was arrested LAST month, for reading a bible at a counsel meeting. And let's go even further and show some more fun, shall we? The Union Leader quote: No class: Incivility of Kerry camp is shameful WHEN JOHN Edwards and John Kerry gratuitously brought up the homosexuality of Mary Cheney, Vice President Dick CheneyÔÇÖs daughter, it was a classless and dirty trick. Then Elizabeth Edwards trumped them. Lynne Cheney responded to KerryÔÇÖs comments by saying he was ÔÇ£not a good man.ÔÇØ Elizabeth Edwards, wife of John, countered that CheneyÔÇÖs remark ÔÇ£indicates a certain degree of shame with respect to her daughterÔÇÖs sexual preferences.ÔÇØ Outrageous! How would Elizabeth Edwards feel if the Cheneys invoked her dead son Wade in the context of a political debate, or presumed to know how she felt about his passing? The Edwardses and Kerry have stepped beyond the boundaries of acceptable political discourse. They owe the Cheneys an apology.
jamotto Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 quote:Originally posted by Jaguar: case it was the truth, sorry Jamotto.... No, it was the partial truth the Republicans are every bit just as quilty.
Guest Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Partial truth? Not quite, the Democrats want to literally BAN the bible from ANY public venue. That is the goal, whether you wish to believe it or not.
Kalshion Posted October 15, 2004 Author Report Posted October 15, 2004 To bad the democrats take the Cake, Jamotto, as they've done more harm than good I do know about the bible, as much as it sickens me, it's only one peice of harmful material.. where as the amount of disgusting material that the democrat's used was exthremely distasteful
LostInSpace Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 quote:Originally posted by jamotto: Yep, about as low as Republicans handing out fliers saying that the Democrats are going to ban the bible. Well I call that payback for the Democrat's attempt to convince the seniors they will lose their social security money if Bush is elected in the previous election. Who was doing the fear mongering then or have we conveniently forgotten about that.
street228 Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 I find it all amusing, seeing how the" below the belt " fighting was initially instigated by the republican party, during the race for democratic nominations. Now the democrats, have consolidated, and begin to fight back, the neocons start whining..

This is NOTHING new for the Democrats, they have been scaremongering and lying to the American people for decades. The propaganda, Farenheit 911, the 527's Moveon.org ad nauseum, etc, lie, lie, lie, there is NOT one shred of actualy truth to what they say, but when someone comes out with a film against Kerry, the Dem's have a cow. If a Republican came out with that poster with Kerry on it, you would not hear the end of it, but because it was a Democrat, it's OK, no problem. Such hypocrisy is the modus operendi of the Democrat party, and always has been.
street228 Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 And, what exactly to you want me to say...to all that rediculous, partisen, mud slinging, pile of crap?
