UCSE Add-on D2D Version and AWA

I have the Direct2Drive download copy of UC:AWA.

I am wondering if I purchase the Add-on for UCSE, will I still be able to maintain a 'plain' AWA copy running on my PC? If this is either technically not possible, or legally not possible, please let me know.

I don't want to get that version and not be able to play in the upcoming Fleet Action season (which will be on AWA).

I was thinking that would be how it was, that's why I wanted to check before I bought it. I will end up picking up the full version sometime soon.
