Badgerius Posted July 7, 2000 Report Posted July 7, 2000 The fleets are a RPG thing, but they are also the "Guilds" or "Clans" of the upcoming Multiplayer releases. The fleets offer structure and command opportunities to those who don't feel that one battlecruiser is enough.There are two factions which currently have active fleets. Galcom has many fleets, with Prime being the Regular Navy, and the others specializing in some area. The Insurgents are all organized under the banner of Spectre Fleet.If you decide to join a fleet, which you are by no means required to do to play multiplayer, you gain access to the Multiplay Role-Playing servers. Please consider Prime Fleet in your choices. I was posting under my husband's name for this thread (before I got my own).He's a computer-lover and got me into games with Privateer.
