I use this to record many significant events. Here are some of the first entries I had made since playing. Let me know what you think QUAD: TERRA SECTOR: SOL D9 REGION: EARTH DATE: 04/04/3000 TIME: 1702 We have just departed from GALCOM HQ and are begin the `shakedown' cruise of GCV CONQUEST. I am quite pleased with the my ship so far and look forward to meeting all of my crew in time. QUAD: TERRA SECTOR: SIRIUS D8 REGION: LYRIUS DATE: 04/04/3000 TIME: 17:23 During the course of the `shakedown' cruise we encountered a TRANCOR ODS believed to be of MULTINATIONAL RAIDER origins. I ordered the CONQUEST to investigate this ODS. Upon doing so we were fired upon. In order to defend the ship and her crew I ordered the CONQUEST to raise shields and return fire. To ensure the ODS was disabled as quickly as possible I also sortied all INTERCEPTORS which had orders to attack the ODS. The ODS was ultimately overcome by the superior force from the CONQUEST however GCV CONQUEST sustained severe damage to the BRIDGE, severe damage to OPERATIONS, the COMMLINK COMPUTER was destroyed, the RESEARCH LAB recieved severe damage, the FORE LASER TURRET was badly damaged, INTERCEPTOR CHARGER TWO was badly damaged, the NUCLEAR REACTOR COOLING SYSTEM recieved minor damage, the SHUTTLE LAUNCH BAY was severely damaged (which led to severe damage of all the SHUTTLE's HULL ARMOR) and the TITANIUM II HULL ARMOR was midly damaged. The only casulties sustained during this brief encounter was our NAV OFFICER Lanna Kasugi who is recovering well. Shortly after dispatching SH-1 to tow the disabled ODS to a friendly station in for the purpose trading, several other MULTINATIONAL RAIDER craft entered the area. Upon assesing the situation, taking into account the condition of GCV CONQUEST and the defensive forces currently in the area I decided that departing the area to seek repairs was the best course of action. Therefore I ordered a course to be set for Earth and departed the area. QUAD: TERRA SECTOR: SOL D9 REGION: EARTH DATE: 04/05/3000 TIME: 05:23 Following a brief encounter with INSURGENT forces in this region GCV CONQUEST collided with an INSURGENT SHUTTLE accidentally while taking evasive manouvers. As the shields were recovering from a volley of shots from INSURGENT forces severe damage was experienced on all decks. This damage also affected all of GCV CONQUEST's support vessels.
