Josh Dilvorn Posted September 12, 2000 Report Posted September 12, 2000 Don't know about anyone else, but I would like to hear more about this field that lets the ship reach such high speeds in one second. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but if you want to accelerate to 2,628,000,000 km/s in 1 second, wouldn't the ship need to accelerate at 2,628,000,000 km/s^2, surely that's gotta hurt just a little....If I'm correct with this than maybe you could have the acceleration spread out over weeks or months.Anyone that is interested, I've created a small spreadsheet to explore these acceleration variables, you can check it out here.
Commander Zeke Stone Posted October 8, 2000 Author Report Posted October 8, 2000 Sorry my answer took so long but Josh if you read above, which you might have by now, you would see that this field makes every particle in the ship move as one. So if everyone is moving with the ship then I don't see how it could hurt anything, if there is a way please inform me.I could spread the acceleration out but that could ruin the plot in the movie. You see in this movie the ship is not just travelling about the Galaxy but the entire Universe.Although I would still like to see this spreadsheet you speak of. What program did you create it on, I can't seem to open it. ------------------ Commander Zeke Stone Mercenary UCV-Susceptor - "Never Give Up, Never Surrender"**Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job** -- Douglas Adams
