Just saw the specs for ATI's Radeon thingy...

Wow! Talk about power! From the press release, this looks to be the end all-be all of cards. It seems to do everything, and do it better than anybody else! Whew! I mean, jeeze, this card has 128 MB of memory. If I get this card, I'll have mroe RAM in my graphics card than on my motherboard! I'll finally be able to play Quake 3 at 1600x1200, full details, full scene antialiasing, at around 500 fps.

Of course, by next week, it will be obsolete. Why ever buy anything?

The thing is (As we all know) there is never a good time to upgrade your system. If you do it now, or later, the deal is basically the same, just the numbers are different. So long as the games industry continues to expand (Or contract as the recent case may be) this is never going to stop. You cant hold back and wait for the best deal, that essential purchase, because by the time you at the shop, hard earned cash in hand, some other guy on the block is gonna come along, show you somthing better for a few notes more and the hesitation thing will start again.

It's a viscious circle, and one that wont end any time soon. Best thing to do is, hand your cash over, plug in your new card and enhoy it while its the business. Then replace it when you have to.

Thats my justification anyway.
