Korono Lakeela Posted June 28, 2000 Report Posted June 28, 2000 This is just posted in concern of a trend I am seeing in multiplayer games, this may not be all that uncommon for some of you, but heck, I can't afford to keep up on buying games, anyway. I noticed that BCM requires a 56K modem for multiplayer, now, will this allow for direct modem to modem computer connections, or merely for the internet connection? The reason I ask this is because titles such as Klingon Academy and Imperium Galactica 2 ask for such, but when I get to multiplayer, bam! No modem connection, I guess this is kinda of a pain for me since there are two PCs in this house, and since I don't have the resources to go buy another network card I tend to use the 2 phone lines to my advantage, but with the recent games I have purchased, I can't even do that! So, in conclusion , will BCM have direct modem connections available? Guest Posted July 1, 2000 Report Posted July 1, 2000 NetGear sells some really good networking equipment for good prices. I bought an 8 port SWITCH from them for $95! I imagine their NIC cards would be low priced also, and they're very good cards. Just a recommendation.
