SE4

Hi guys, anyone checked out the new space empires4?. I gotta say it's an impressive piece of software. I miss the windows type of display in SE3 (only cause i could have the display spread out over 2 monitors) it's got a great learning curve using ministers to administer some of the game if you so wish. It's only displayed in 2D but that does not retract from the immersive gameplay.

Any thoughts?

Well, have been playing the demo and needless to say, I am waiting for my copy to arrive. This is my first venture into the SE universe. But with the exception of BC3K, and any X-Wing/Tie-Fighter title, Space Empires builder's are my first love. MOO was by far the best and probably will always be and the sequel wasn't bad. Imperium Galactica II was worth the buy, though those damn Kraken really do through a monkey wrench into the whole "winning" the game concept! But back to SE4. Being able to customize EVERY aspect of your empire and race is just...well, awesome. For once you can actually build various fleets..(carrier groups, destroyer flotillas...etc) and use them effectively rather than just piling everything you have in ONE big fleet and rampaging through the universe. I think this one is a winner. (sorry for going off so much on a non-BC title) but this just goes to show, the independent game developers are where it's at .
