Guest Posted December 18, 2000 Report Posted December 18, 2000 I started a new game on my BIG computer and was doing the old Gazer/Galcom profit run, I am on my way back to Galcom, when the insurgents attack, I go after one of them, he runs for the Pluto gate , I go after, he's down to nothing and starts screaming SOS, so I decide to tractor him. Bounty should be good for something, well he drifts right into me, takes engines down to zero, and armor down to 27%. Well, I'm sitting there feeling REALLY stupid, so tell SC-1 to tow me back to galcom for repairs. Launch SC-1, and My Cruiser is nowhere to be found. Can't see it, can't target it, nothing. so Give old Galcom the SOS, and they come and get me. After repairing, leave Galcom, and lo and behold, still no ship!!! It's gone, Invisible!!! I can blow things up, go after things etc. But I didn't dare launch my IC or anything else, because they think that home is Galcom, RTB those buggers and they head home to BIG mama!!! It's like my cruiser didn't exist. Very strange, not sure if it's a bug or just my machine, but thought it was wierd!! We just ran into this quirk in BCM and I just fixed it in the latest Beta. Never, ever tell your shuttle to tow you or it will deliver you either to the station or to itself. Launch a "clean" shuttle with no orders and then tell it to tow your ship.
