"What's the CDROM drive? Do you mean the coaster thing?"

"The mouse? I don't see anything resembling a mouse! ..Oh, can you give me some tips on working this foot-pedal thing? It's very hard!"

"My coaster broke off! Can I get a new one?"

ROTFLMAO!!!

I think she needs to go back to the Typewriter, and Calculator. Heaven forbid should something break, or someone screw with her settings. That woman will be lost forever.

A programming new hire (back in 1987) was in a cubicle for a month before being moved to another cubicle. He asked, "How will my email know where to go?"

The same new hire was on a team that had regular Friday staff meetings where they took turns bringing donuts or bagels to the meeting. On his turn, they suggested that he bring bagels and cream cheese. When he showed up, he brought bagels and sour cream.

He was terminated before his probationary period was up.

Me: Nope, wrong number.

Caller: You sure?

Me: Actually, let me check my drivers license - it may actually be the Johnson...wait, nope, wrong number.

Me: "Ok go ahead and put in the windows cd and press enter"

client: "put the cd where?"

(explained the CD-ROM was the thing on the top of the tower with little blinking lights)

client (excited by a flash of understanding): "Oh! you mean the cupholder?"

me: *chuckles* *mute mike on headset* *takes deep breath and franatically waves the supervisor to tap into the call*

I never EVER hope to meet this person. I think i'd end with a black eye that day.

Don't know about the most stupid question, but I can give the most stupid anwser (pardonnez-moi)

Looking at something playing on tv, I ask:

- What that? (about the tv show)

I get:

- That's a tv.

You know Epsilon 5, that's the kind of answers I give....just to see the look people give me. You can see it in their eye's as their mind wonders "Is he really that dumb?".... (don't answer that!)

Well, this is close enough to the subject I think. My fiancee's brother Petr was helping out a technically-challenged uncle of his with the basics of windows, when the uncle said:

"Help! Everything's disappeared and now there are elephants on my computer!"

Petr then patiently explained what a 'screensaver' was.

Ok, I know this is an old thread but I had to share this with you all.

First of all even though I work in the Finance Department, people know of my great tech skills. (Some think I am a god. )

The other day, a lady on the floor was trying to download that Elf Bowling game. She asked me to help because it wouldn't work, and even told me it did the same thing at home. Basically she needed to save it to her HDD before playing. So when I sat as she did it, it asked he to save it to disk.

Her response was, "It is too big for a Floppy Disk." And I agreed with her. I then suggested, "Why don't you save it to your Hard Drive?"

She looks at me and says, "But that is not a disk!" I am now looking at her in a very strange way and just replied, "Yes it IS!" She continued to argue that it wasn't and I asked her Why it wasn't. Then with a confused look on her face, she couldn't answer the question. Well, after she took my suggestion everything was cool.

This is one of those people that should not own a computer.

Want to know a really stupid question I get EVERY time I work at the theatre?

Okay...there are two lines for Interac they have a HUGE and I mean HUGE Interac sign that say's INTERAC THIS LINE ONLY and little interac symbols decorating every space around this counter.

Anyway I'm on the third till wich dosen't alke interac and every time someone will come up and say. "Can I do interac on this till?"

Or I'll be working at the two that do have interac and they'll ask the same thing...or ask me... "Can I use money at this till as well?"

Ignorant people! IGNORANT! Bah!
