Guest Posted May 13, 2001 Report Posted May 13, 2001 That is sad, sad news.Douglas Adams was a fine author and he will be missed, I'm sure, by a legion of fans everywhere. HHGTTG was the novel that got me into science fiction, and that wonderful crossover - scifi-comedy.RIP.
Commander Zeke Stone Posted May 13, 2001 Report Posted May 13, 2001 This is truely a terrible loss, Douglas Adams was a great author, my favorite in fact. My own writing style changed after reading some of his books. Although I am surprised that I have not heard anything of this until today.

Põdi Posted May 20, 2001 Report Posted May 20, 2001 It is indeed sad, sad news. He was a very brilliant man. The hitchikers books were probably best known, but did anyone read the Dirk Gently books? They are an excellent read and I actually enjoyed them more than the hitchiker trilogy God bless you DNA (shame he didn't have a son called Richard Neville.........think about it)
