the other day i was playing BC3K(V2.0). I was near the planet Sarien and had collided with a starcruiser (listed as other and i hate it when that happens).

suddenly the screen flashed(i was watching from TacOps) and my flight officer said that we were in null space.

has that happen to any of you people?

yeah, often. Sometimes, 3 insurgent lrt-15 appear, but I can't reach them, because I always appear in null-space when I go out of hyperspace for them. (Secret weapon?)

I've played BC 2.0x for quite some time, but I've never been in "null space". What happens once you end up in null space? And how do you get out?

Sorry cmdr Jason, but how ever could you explain a simple thing more complexed

Just give your BC order to jump to "real space", as with fluxfields usually, it may be that you have to try more than once before you get through.

That happens to me when i go to tow a hostile ship that is emitting and SOS

First I jump to the location of the disabled ship, an as i come out of the jump,

Wow I'm in null space

usually wait a second to get bearings, then jump back to real space

Thargoids? My friend had those surgicly removed last summer...

(Yes, I have played Elite and it's incredible sequels, j/k )

Null space occurs when you actually leave the boundaries of a region. Point your ship in a direction, hold down the afterburners, and eventually you will enter null space.

The reason it often happens after a hyperspace jump is that, if you jump close enough to another ship to hit it, the enormous speeds involved send your ship hurtling away from the collision, and straight into null space.

Wouldn't I be damaged?

And about my 3 lrt-15, it doesn't matter if it's my bc, a fighter, a shuttle, AI or human controlled.

Always he same thing. I'm starting to p33r those pesky insurgent lrt-15
