Finally, it looks like there will be a significant breakthrough in Northern Ireland.

I'm just curious, does anyone else here think there may be a tenuous link between the attacks ib the US and this turn of events?

A couple of days after the attacks, there was wuite a clever cartoon in the Independent; the shadow of the ruined WTC cast as an accusing finger pointing a sheepish Gerry Adams to the negotiating table.....

How poignant, I thought.
