Some cool pics I worked on

I made a few simple pictures in Truespace showing Earth and Centris with their respective suns, and so far people that looked at them liked them.

I was supposed to post about it earlier but I either forgot or was busy. Better late than never.

Each of them is roughly 400kb, all are 1280x1024 high quality jpegs. They're on my server and my upload speed is capped at 16ks, so don't complain

First picture of Earth featuring a moonlight glow

The first picture is made as much realistic as possible. Sizes, distances, they're true. Don't try to look for GHQ, it ain't there, would have been too small anyway I couldn't get a yellow lens flare since the program always put them reddier.

Second picture of Earth : sunset? sunrise?

That one has a cool sun I might try to put an atmosphere around the Earth later.

Centris with true suns

Even wondered about double sunsets and sunrises? You get the idea. Alpha Centauri is really a trinary star system, oen being faint and distant. I cheated a bit on this one, the moons were too far to be seen, but it does look good.

I used BCM backdrops and planetary/moon textures for the pics.

If anyone wants a custom pic at different resolution or in a different star system (or different camera position), you can ask. I can find the planets/moons textures ingame easily, same for the backdrop. I can probably get the star colors and sizes with a little search with google, since all the bc stars are less or more known real stars. I can make jpg, tga and bmp files. Static pictures, no videos, I'm not good at animating stuff and I had trouble making the lens flare move (trying to figure out that one)

I cannot have any bc ship/station unless I get the source models... and yet I have to convert the models in Truespace cob format. Pasting pictures from the bcstudio WILL damage the picture by altering the glow and ghosts effects, so do it yourself if you really want to.

Oh and btw I haven't tried yet to play with rings... I can try but don't expect much.
