Supreme Cmdr Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 Got Nitro?[ 01-24-2002: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
Guest Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 Geez, now that's what I'm talking about, what scares me about this is the fact that the faster the computer, the more it can run.Pretty soon the darn things are going to talk back or go on strike or some such thing.3.5 GHZ holy ^*&^ now that is FAST!!!I bet that would run a BCM server or 3!! LOL
Epsilon 5 Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 LOL me likes! Now they should try that on dual or quad processor motherboards Now THAT could host 25 mp bcm game with 64 people
hazzig Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 That┬┤s COOL!I┬┤m gonna put my P4 into the freezer to pump up the Mhz.
Commander Elio Jason Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 what where we talking about again?i was too busy staring at the woman in underwear under .com.
Guest Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 Amazing! Truly amazing! Them engineers will never stop until there's a faster way for windows to crash on you
Eclipse Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 Hmmm... could get expensive if you run out of Liquit Nitro,
Epsilon 5 Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 Liquid Nitro isn't supposed to be expensive either.
Guest Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 I think he means the P4 chip E5 Nitro runs out.. *snap* *crackle* *pop* goes the p4 chip.
Guest Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 quote:*snap* *crackle* *pop* goes the p4 chip. Dude, that CPU is now rice crispies, where's the milk?Liquid nitrogen, geez, you touch that stuff and your skin is GONE!! Only engineers would do something like this, now if they would actually build a refrigeration unit for a CPU, now that would be the BOMB!! Overclock that puppy, go ahead!! LOL
Soback Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 I think that it's all bull. I mean consider the frost on the mb and all around the cpu, if it wouldn't crack because of temperature difference it certainly would short out as the frost at the very edges of the frost ring would melt.
Põdi Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 That reminds me of some crazy Kiwis, who ocerclocked a old 486 by putting it in the deep freeze and playing Quake II on it. IIRC, the actual aim was to find out if packing it around with beer or liquor provided the better coolant. Beer won.As always
Guest Posted January 25, 2002 Report Posted January 25, 2002 There was a similar article i was looking at earlier on at Tom's Hardware

Supreme Cmdr Posted January 26, 2002 Author Report Posted January 26, 2002 quote:Originally posted by Soback: I think that it's all bull. *whack*!! No, its not. What's the matter with you? Coming in here and attempting to sabotage our pipe dreams!!
Guest Posted January 26, 2002 Report Posted January 26, 2002 If your pipe was designed by intel, its just hype!
Epsilon 5 Posted January 26, 2002 Report Posted January 26, 2002 My friend could roast a chicken in the freezer if he puts his computers in there
hazzig Posted January 26, 2002 Report Posted January 26, 2002 quote:Originally posted by Epsilon 5: My friend could roast a chicken in the freezer if he puts his computers in there LOL!Wow, speeding up the computer and have a barbeque at the same time. Isn┬┤t called multitasking in a computer term?
Cmdr Nova Posted January 26, 2002 Report Posted January 26, 2002 Heh. I looked at that article, and thought it was impressive, and didn't pay much attention afterwards. Then I looked at that Tom's Hardware link that RM provided.See for yourself: here. Check out that Sysmark benchmark. *twitch* *twitch*My only reaction was "woah". And some twitching afterwards. Check out the other benchmarks. Some of these you'll just have to brace yourselves for.'Nuff said. *twitch*
Epsilon 5 Posted January 26, 2002 Report Posted January 26, 2002 I just can't wait for xp3000+ or anything that will be in that time.... and those 64 bit processors they're preparing.
