Guest Grayfox Posted April 13, 2002 Report Posted April 13, 2002 once again boys and girls, uncle sam is a knockin at our doors wanting his cut from our hard earned money i finally did my taxes today (yes i procrastinate) and found out i really didnt have anything to be afraid of because uncle sam is paying me somewhere to the tune of 3 g's i figured he owes it to me for wreckin my legs lol so hows about all of you (the ones old enough to pay taxes) get yours done yet? or are you a worse lagger than i am?

Guest Posted April 13, 2002 Report Posted April 13, 2002 I got REAL lucky, I got 2 rugrats and I made a LOT less money then I did last year, even got to write off my medical this year. Made a bout 1/4 of what I made last year. OUCH!!! Uncle Sam and Oregon gave me almost 4 grand all together. The timing could not have been better!!

Buying a car : the tax process, from work to car 1 - work 2 - x% removed from paycheck in taxes 3 - yearly taxes based on salary 4 - x% taxes added on car price (here it's 15.025% federal and provincial taxes combined) 5 - x% paid of taxes in the car price's to pay the company who paid taxes to buy the car parts 6 - the buyer pays for the taxes the car company pays each year 7 - x% paid of taxes in the car price's to pay the company who paid taxes to buy the materials to make the car parts 8 - the buyer pays for the taxes the car parts maker company pays each year 9 - the buyer pays for the taxes the mineral transformation corporation pays each year 10 - the buyer pays for the taxes the mining corporation pays each year Without even including numbers, you see that from work to the car, most of the work done goes off in taxes, and that you don't pay much for the car itself.
Guest Grayfox Posted April 13, 2002 Report Posted April 13, 2002 eesh... last year i worked 3 jobs (NOT at the same time ) and still made only 13k... i have 1 crumbsnatcher, so thats why mine was as good as i was hoping im all caught up on the bills, hmmm looks like my kid gets a new bike and i get either that ps2 i was lookin at or the xbox PLUS a new sidearm for work....mmmmmm

The Fed's are giving us...ahh, I mean my wife, a little over a G back that she is paying off her car with. The Damn State of Pennsylvania is getting greedy, normally if it was $2 or under, you could forget about it, including refunds. Now they want it ALL, and I owed $2 from interest income.
