Lotharr Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 quote: Also, we are giving over 20 billion dollars a year and ALL of our expertise to Russia to get their nuclear weapons stockpiles secured and dismantled, but you don't wish to talk about that do you? http://dosfan.lib.uic.edu/acda/aboutacd/fy20.htm 40 mil is what is authorized for the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. If you can show me other figures then have at it.if not try to shoot for inaccuracies of less then a factor of 500. quote: Sorry to sound so condescending, but I just can't help it. You are so deadset in your little naive worldview, and I am beginning to think that it is the only way to shake you up a little bit so you will think. Put you on the defensive a little bit so that you will study a little more thoroughly before you try and take me on. It is the way you are. Your posts signify that you are insecure with your beliefs and have only distain for opinions that dissent from your own. It doesn't bother me. What you need to wake up too is we are not in the eightieth century and current free market ideologies are disseminated by people on the payroll who dominate mass media outlets. The American political process has been hijacked by wealth and corporations play an increasingly subversive and unconstitutional roll over government and issues of self governance.your patriotism has been incorporated and youre left with a document being dismantled by the party you support. You live in a past that is vastly different from the present. I have the small view? Dust yourself off and check the calendar. I have finals this week and next so I'll be in and out.
Lotharr Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 quote: If we'd ignore saddam what could happen He should not be ignored. However, he should not be attacked for trying to achieve an American sponsored balance with Israel. If he ever got around to making a nuke why would he give it to people that may use it on him or lose it? He is a secular leader and loathed by the fundamentalist sects in the Muslim world. It does not benefit him in any way to give out his weapons. The CIA recommended containment because they understand the situation. It is not our fault that big oil owns the White House. International law works when organizations believe that it is needed and work for it. This administration and other interests do not believe in this ideal because it is not profitable to wage peace. In fact it is much easer to draw down when youÔÇÖre the only one with a gun. Remember that resolution 1441 states that the UN has the final say what is material breach. If America works outside of the law and violates the founding charter of the UN, people will begin to view America as the rogue nation.
Guest Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 quote: It is the way you are. LOL, I have disdain for ridiculous ideas that have been historically proven to make worse that which they supposedly want to correct. That indeed create the very things that you hate so much. I find your insights laughable and your ideas destructive. I know where I stand, and historically it is a proven remedy. The only things I see coming from your ideas is destruction of this country within, and a self hatred that sickens me. That self hatred meaning that you hate the US, it's foundation(constitution) and your love of socialism in it's most destructive form. I find it sad and disgusting, but that is what I have come to expect from people that do not really care, they actually just want power over others.
Andergum Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 IMO the war on terrorism is totally useless unless we are going to do something about protecting our borders. Does anyone else find it quite odd that we will spend billions of dollars hunting down Alqaeda or going to war with Iraq but have done little to nothing to prevent them from wandering into our country on work VISA's or or student VISA's etc. Where the hell is homeland security if we are going to let anyone and everyone enter and wander around in our country seemingly at will?? Helllooooo McFly!!!!!! [ 12-09-2002, 06:24 PM: Message edited by: Andergum ]
Guest Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 quote: Helllooooo McFly!!!!!! But, but, but, that would be racial profiling, and it would be so unfair to all those Ille.. umm I mean immigrants from the south. And you know all those terro... I mean middle east citizens up north that would like nothing better then to strap a bomb... sorry, show their moral superiority to the infidels, and go to heaven for their 72 virgins. It would be SOOO unfair!! OK, sarcasm is off now. You are absolutely correct, and that is why militias are finally getting into the act in Arizona, since the feds won't do anything, private citizens have decided that it is time for them to do something. I LOVE the 2nd amendment!!
Epsilon 5 Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 I luff homeland security, and the USA-Patriot act. No really.
Lotharr Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Obviously he isn't a patriot.... patriots know the secret handshake...praise Allah...er...Jesus...and walk lock step with the happy face into the glorious new world order that sells out its own citizens to be "globally competitive" (translation: money continues to flow to wealthy and jobs continue to flow overseas)....yep scumbag got what he deserved...hey freedom costs and if you can't afford it thats your problem... Get over it Jaguar your patriotism is based on beliefs generated by those who could give a damn about your liberty or freedom..sorry the truth hurtswhen your jobs gets outsourced I know youd rather starve than take a hand out in the land of plenty.because we all agree that one can always get a jobalways.
Guest Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 quote: I luff homeland security, and the USA-Patriot act. No really. I have heard about this story and about a dozen others like it. Most, if not all have turned out to be hoaxes of a very strange bent. And if it were true, taking more then a few pictures is more then a little suspicious. It is the man's word against the government, but in all honesty I would take the governments words before his. The executive branch, SO FAR is one of the few NOT abusing their powers. quote: Get over it Jaguar your patriotism is based on beliefs generated by those who could give a damn about your liberty or freedom….. Better tighten up that tin foil beanie Lotharr, the rays are getting through. ROFLMAO!!! quote: when your jobs gets outsourced I know you’d rather starve than take a hand out in the land of plenty….because we all agree that one can always get a job…always…. My job can't be outsourced, I am in Sales, unless of course you think that you can sell remotely from China, they can't yet anyway. When they do, I will find something else to do. I was unemployed for 6 months, no money coming in from unemployment, no welfare needed, NOTHING. I did odd jobs to make money to live. Worked quite well. No, I do not TAKE government handouts, WHY? because then they have power over me, I will not give power over myself to anyone, but my wife of course, and the way to keep it that way is to do whatever it takes, legally, to keep oneself going. If I can mow lawns, build webpages, deliver papers etc, and make money, then so can anyone. Jobs are out there, you just have to be willing to do it. But that's right, some jobs are just too menial for some people. Why, because the government will always bail you out of BAD decisions. We have a bunch of wussies in this country now, and it is because they are bailed out of every stupid, unwise and moronic decision they make. If they blow it, Mommy government will fix it. I am a constitutionalist to the core, it has taken 50+ years for the democrats and socialists in this country to rip it to shreds, it is going to take another 50+ for conservatives, and maybe Republicans, to put it back together. I am NOT wedded to the Republican party, as long as I agree with 60-70% of what they do, I will stick with them, until the Democrat party implodes and a true constitutionalist party comes along. I am patient, I can wait, hopefully by what I do today, my children will get a country with the TRUE constitution in place. It will take a lot of work, instead of a lot of whining about how unfair the world is. WAH and boo hoo.
