MOO3 (Masters of Orion III), anyone else as excited about this gem as I am???

i heard about it last yr, and was interested. but i cant tell if its a multiplayer only, or also single player. the site doesnt quite make the distinction

seems interesting either way

Master of Orion III is a single player, possibly with MP thrown in. I played Master of orion I, and II, great strategic games. It's like Civilization set in space, with much more options, better looking fights (nowhere near Imperium Galactica III, but the games concepts are different so don't confuse them), and much better AI.

It will have MP......but this game, is gonna top all 4x's....hell they called it the 5thx!!

In my opinion, unless BCG is releaed b4 it, it's gonna be the next best thing on the market!!

Why would they call it 5x?

This is a real gem of a 4x, for those that don't like having 200 cities/bases to keep track of. There is a sequel of it out, but I havent played it.

HOTU describes it as a must-have for MOO fans.

Starship unlimited....I love that game....the only prob is it's TOO addictive.

I'm really looking forward to MOO 3 too. Has anyone recently checked out the forums over at the official site? The release date discussions are out of control! Some people are acting as if it's a life or death situation.
