Modern politics are defined by a future they envision as inevitable but will be somewhat better than the world we now live in. An example would be Iraq where they felt a conflict was inevitable and its resolution would benefit humanity.

Discuss the effect inadvertable fate on the progressive views of the west.

Oh dear, this. I've thought about this a few times before and ultimately I think it's just the trend for the present, and because it has been the trend for the last few hundred years people are starting to believe it is more then just a passing trend. Besides, it makes you all warm and fuzzy inside to think that things are only going to get better... well ok, I don't really know if it does, but it seams like the kind of thing that might...

Personally, I can only see things getting worse in the future. I can't see a way out of this constant conflict. The smaller the world gets the more problems we are going to have with each other. Unless aliens come along and zap us up in their space ships and take us all off to other planets I think we're screwed. (I believe there are a group of people that have flipped and actually believe this . . . again.) I think it is just a matter of time before we release all of our weapons on each other and the human race either has to start over, or IS over.

in a forest the ecological balance is tight. if you have X amount of rabbits and X amount of foxes, you can have a balance of growth versus death (hunting). if for some reason the amount of foxes increase the amount of rabbits will diminish due to massive hunting from the foxes, and eventually the foxes won't be able to feed themselves, so they will start to die, where the rabbits will start to raise in number again, same for the foxes, as food becomes plenty again.

Earth is overpopulated and mother nature has a harsh way of executing population control by playing games with the human mind. just hope we won't kill ALL of us by ourselves.

I would have to agree with you there Eps. I'm just waiting to see what she does to control us. We are like a virus spreading across this world and we've just about killed it. I hope it doesn't take

A) Us destroying every natural resource on the planet or

B) Us simply destroying each other

In order for us to slow down and look at things, because by that time it will be WAY to late.
