If he had ,I would have gotten to play a role in it. For all those peaceniks I say this. No earthly amount of discussion, diplomacy or any other means other than total annihilation were going to convince this madman despot to give up his delusions of grandeur. he would have continued butchering his own citizenry as well as funding terrorists to kill innocent people. I am still of the opinion he was behind the 9/11 assault on this country. He just made Osama the bad guy to avert suspicion from himself. I hope Osama opens his eyes and realises that fact.before a US soldier fills his brain cavity with a bouncing hunk of 5.56 ammo.
Guest Grayfox Posted April 13, 2003 Report Posted April 13, 2003 i remember hearing about the attempted plot on those cnn reporters... and i can honestly say im not at all surprised by those stories. semi along the same line, brent saddler, a "unilateral" (non embedded) cnn journalist almost got his arse piped when he and his camera crew rolled into tikrit. the sentries at the checkpoint leading into the town let the crew through. saddler and his cameraman were filming abandoned iraqi apc's and tanks... all live on cnn. as they were leaving via the same checkpoin thru which they entered, the iraqi soldiers opened fire on their vehicle convoy. no one was hurt... perhaps a few wet pants... and the vehicles were slightly damaged. the crazy thing was, the iraqis hopped in their own vehicles and started giving chase for a few miles before they broke off... and the whole thing was "live" the moral??? use your head for more than a hat rack. i mean why would you go into an enemy occupied city as a journalist with no escort??? thats fair game... i mean its well known that they torture journalists... hello??? and right now, cnn is not the most popular news agency with the iraqi military right now.
